Guinness Six Nations begins on February 4th and marks Breitling’s second season as the official timing partner of Six Nations Rugby, an organization known worldwide for hosting the biggest rugby championships and exciting men’s and women’s matches between six competing unions to present: RFU (England ), IRFU (Ireland), WRU (Wales), SRU (Scotland), FFR (France) and FIR (Italy).
The Swiss watch manufacturer is also the exclusive luxury watch partner of the Six Nations Rugby, which was honored today with the launch of the Six Nations Chronomat. This dynamic new series offers unique watches for each national team, limited to 150 pieces.

The stainless steel watch has all the hallmark Chronomat features: raised pull-tabs at the 15-minute markers, a comfortable bulbous crown, a triple register dial with an embedded date at 6 o’clock, and a classic roulette bracelet, all powered by an exceptional in-house Breitling Caliber movement 01. Each model features a dial reflecting the colors of the respective union, with the logo on the sub-dial at 9 o’clock and on the sapphire crystal case back.
MEET THE RUGBY SQUAD
This collection is personalized by the new Breitling Rugby Squad, made up of seven notable players from each of the six rugby nations and associations that will represent Chronomat in their respective countries.
Representing Wales, top scorer George North; from Ireland, three-time champion Conor Murray; from England, the mighty props Kyle Sinclair; from Italy, star midfielder Paolo Garbisi, who made his Test debut in 2020; from France, Gael Fico, winner of the 2022 Grand Slam tournaments; from Scotland Hamish Watson, the 2021 Championship Player; and Scotland’s Stuart Hogg was named Best Player of the Championship twice.

The high performance of the Six Nations rugby competition, combined with values of sportsmanship and inclusion, led Breitling to the partnership. They also share a common heritage: the watch brand was founded in 1884, but the history of the championship goes back a year, to 1883.
A CELEBRATED SPORTS TIMEPIECE
The Chronomat was originally developed as the official watch of the Frecce Tricolori, the famous Italian aerobatic team. Not only popular with pilots, the Chronomat rev counter attracted the attention of Formula 1 teams in the 1980s and 1990s. The case with a diameter of 42 mm and the roulette bracelet are made of stainless steel. The hands are coated with Super-LumiNova® and, like all Chronomat models, are water-resistant to 200 meters. Each caseback is specially engraved with the name of the Six Nations and the restriction “One in 150”.

The Guinness Six Nations Championship begins on February 4 when Wales host Ireland. The series will run through March 19th, then TikTok Women’s Six Nations will begin on March 25th.
