The watch’s superb 500m water resistance means you can swim with the manta ray that inspired it. And to ensure there are plenty of gentle sea creatures to swim with, a portion of the sale proceeds will be donated to the charity Manta Trust. The trust leads global research projects and advocacy campaigns to help protect this endangered species. The contribution of Carl F. Bucherer was devoted to the study of the movement patterns of manta rays. The ultra-light titanium case is coated with black DLC and has a helium release valve. The black dial features two manta rays in the center, surrounded by Super-LumiNova-coated hour-markers and a unidirectional rotating bezel made of durable titanium and ceramic. The 1950.1 automatic movement is COSC certified.
