Breitling celebrates the reopening of its flagship Madison Avenue boutique after a complete redesign of the brand’s industrial loft concept. Held in the heart of Manhattan, the event brought together world stars and Breitling enthusiasts from around the world. Breitling focus group member, actor and producer Charlize Theron and ballerina Misty Copeland, who co-hosted with Breitling CEO George Kern, brought their stars to the event strength. Breitling’s American ambassadors and friends of the brand also came to watch the unveiling of the new boutique. The guest list includes former American football quarterback and NFL Today host Boomer Esiason, American professional triathlete Ben Hoffman, CBS golf and NFL reporter Amanda Balionis, Grammy Award-winning musician Eric Harland, astronaut Scott Kelly and Pro Golfer Gary Woodland.

The redesigned space now has two floors, a 90-foot wraparound walkway frontage and 4,300 square feet of space to showcase the latest Breitling timepieces. The location is also the world’s first outpost for Breitling Equipment, the brand’s new line of travel and lifestyle accessories.
The redesign of Madison Avenue draws on the distinctive industrial loft aesthetic that is already an important part of Breitling’s top retail stores worldwide. Each boutique offers customers a casual, stylish, modern retro vibe. The brand’s three “universes” of air, sea and land (the design environment for the Breitling watch collection) are reflected in the decor, which includes elements inspired by airplanes, surfboards and vintage motorcycles. A casual table bar and lounge area invites visitors to explore the timepiece comfortably at their own pace. BREITLING SPOTLIGHT SQUAD MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE
Oscar winner and producer Charlize Theron from South Africa has showcased her versatility in different roles and genres. In 2004, she won an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her portrayal of Erin Woolnos in “Monster.” In 2019, she starred and co-produced the TV series “Bombshell,” for which she was nominated for numerous awards, including an Oscar. Under her production company Denver & Delilah Films, Theron has produced several projects, including Netflix’s The Old Guard. The film reached 78 million Netflix households worldwide in its first 28 days on the platform. Theron recently reprised the role of Cipher in the ninth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, and again as Morticia Addams in The Addams Family 2.
Misty Copeland, principal dancer at the American Ballet Theater, was the first African-American woman to be promoted to the position in 2015 in the company’s 75-year history. That year, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world. She has performed some of the most famous roles in classical ballet, including Odette/Odile in Swan Lake; Juliet in Romeo and Juliet; Giselle; Manon; Copella; Kitri in Quixote; and Firebird. In addition to being an avid philanthropist, Misty is the best-selling author of several books, most recently Black Ballerina: A Journey Through My Legacy.
