(Boston) October 21, 2022 – Today, Reebok and London-based streetwear brand Maharishi announced their second collaboration, Maharishi x Reebok LT Court Hemp, which references a line of menswear that has been at Maharishi Collections since the 1990s Mainstay plants. Founded by Hardy Blechman in 1994, Maharishi is characterized by its “pacifist military design” aesthetic and strong respect for nature and practical design. Following the Spring 2022 collaboration with Reebok’s Classic Leather AZ, the next edition continues to showcase the brand’s mutual respect for traditional sneakers.

“This is yet another great opportunity for us to delve into Reebok’s rich archive of classics,” commented Maharishi founder, Hardy Blechman.

Featuring an army green rubber outsole, chalk midsole and cream hemp upper, Maharishi’s LT Court Hemp gives the 40-year-old Court model a natural, understated style.

“Hemp belongs to one of Earth’s most versatile, resilient, and advanced plant families, which makes it particularly meaningful to us as a medium for product creation,” explained Blechman, alluding to Maharishi’s dedication to hemp fabrication and use of other organic materials.

Other key design elements of the shoe include a soft suede heel and terry cloth lining, full-length Maharishi-branded arch wrap, Maharshi-branded window frames and OG LT Court components such as the deconstructed toe box and cup sole.

“The LT court is a great court shoe from Reebok’s ’80s archives,” concluded Blechman. “By utilizing hemp and a minimalistic design, the piece stays true to both Maharishi and classic Reebok styling.”

The story is told visually by Maharishi’s Soho studio, Shy FX, the legendary producer of British jungle music, in which Reebok has long been intertwined.

The Maharishi x Reebok LT Court Hemp ($120, GZ9587) is available exclusively in unisex sizes at Maharishi on October 28, and then on November 7 at Reebok.com and select fashion retailers worldwide.
