Monza 11 September 2022

Ferrari’s yellow Giallo Modena design was worn throughout the Italian Grand Prix weekend. This was due to the attendance of President Sergio Mattarella, who is the President of the Republic of Italy. Additionally, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz — both drivers for the Cavallino Rampante — ended Monza with second and fourth place finishes respectively. Unfortunately, the end of the race came when the safety car was deployed. This meant that no final attack actions could be made by any participants in the race. Despite this, it still felt like an improved afternoon could have been had if the race didn’t end behind the safety car. In honor of the circuit’s 100th anniversary, the company held its celebration for the circuit’s 75th anniversary. The colors of the event are symbolic of the company’s history, and 337,000 people attended throughout the entire weekend.

On the attack. The team adopted a particularly aggressive approach with both drivers. Leclerc started from pole on the soft tyres and used the virtual safety car, which was called when Sebastian Vettel stopped on the track on lap 12, using a different strategy than Max Verstappen. Station for new tires, which can be counted on to reduce tire wear. When the safety car appeared in the closing stages, it looked like Charles had a chance to attack Verstappen in a few laps. But that disappeared when the race ended behind the safety car, freezing the order.

Carlos was the worst performer due to the safety car, as he caught up to third-placed George Russell with only one set of soft tyres after nearly 20 overtaking from 18th. are using hard tires. The Spaniard rose by more than a second per lap and would catch the Briton on the final lap. When the safety car came out, the team asked him for a new set of soft tyres so he could attack Russell with his old tyres, but Sainz had to settle for fourth, 14 places above his starting spot ,impressive.

A short rest. With the Italian Grand Prix over, the World Championships will bid farewell to Europe with a brief hiatus ahead of the next round in Singapore, returning to the schedule on October 2 after a two-year absence.

Monza is always amazing. From pole, I want to win. However, this is not the case today. Seeing our tifosi under the podium makes it even better.

We had a good pace and we had to remember that we didn’t expect a lot from this track. We did a lot of work to secure pole position during practice and it was a pleasant surprise. We made some positive progress this weekend and are more competitive, so I’m looking forward to racing in Singapore again.

Have a great game! I felt good from the start, overtaking almost every lap and getting up to P4 very early.

After pitting for the soft tires, I quickly closed the gap with Russell and finally had a chance to fight for P3. Even if the safety car came out, I would have a good chance of using my new moccasins for the restart, but unfortunately the race ended the way it ended, neither happened.

I’m happy with the performance and the comeback, but given our speed I’d like to get on the podium before all the tifosi. Thank you all for your great support today. We’ll stick with it until the end of the year!

I think our performance this weekend was better than the end result. After a great qualifying session in front of all our racers, we tried to make the most of every opportunity in the race and decided to take a positive approach to both drivers. Overall, second and fourth were a good result, although you obviously regret not taking the win home from pole position. But today Max (Verstappen) was faster than us. As far as our performance is concerned, we realise that we have improved compared to the last few games. But that’s not all, as there is still a lot of work to be done on Sunday’s performance and tire degradation.

Just before the race, there was a big moment when the President of the Republic visited our garage. Sergio Mattarella, representing all Italians and Italians, was delighted to see the mechanic greet him with a big round of applause to thank him for all his hard work and commitment to our country.
