Herzogenaurach, December 13, 2022 – adidas today introduces the adizero Cybersonic, a tennis shoe designed to help players achieve their goals faster. With the game of tennis becoming faster and more demanding than ever, the shoe is designed to help athletes increase their pace from net to baseline.
DESIGNED FOR SPEED
On its quest to create tennis shoes that provide players with unparalleled performance, adidas has brought its teams together with innovative concepts and future innovations. In order to ensure the advantages of the new running shoes, prototypes were tested and validated by professional athletes in cooperation with the University of Freiburg.

Adizero Cybersonic offers a series of technological innovations:
⦁ ENERGYRODS – ENERGYRODS in the heel provide easy movement and allow the athlete to quickly change direction. This is the first time ENERGYRODS have been used in an adidas tennis shoe.
⦁ Lightstrike midsole – The dual-density Lightstrike midsole and adiWEAR rubber compound outsole allow players to be more efficient, consistent and precise with their footwork.
⦁ ADITUFF Abrasion Zone – ADITUFF’s sport-specific redesigned Abrasion Zone allows athletes to work harder while maintaining balance so they can return to their starting position as quickly as possible.
