‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ is coming to Disney+ this month
It is the latest and acclaimed film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Both Disney+ and HBO Max have embraced a profitable habit in order to announce their most anticipated additions to the catalog. Due to the changes in distribution motivated by the coronavirus crisis, the window of exploitation in conventional cinemas has significantly decreased its route, reducing to 45 days in the case of both Disney and Warner Bros. before jumping to streaming. However, neither major tends to remember it in the face of the premiere of turn, encouraging people to go to the cinema weeks before revealing, “by surprise”, that its availability on platforms is about to fall. Warner’s move worked wonderfully with The Batman.
And disney the same with another recent superhero film, Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness. The latest installment of the Marvel Universe destined for cinemas had such forceful attractions as the presence of Sam Raimi directing and the total immersion in the concept of the multiverse that Phase 4 had already been preparing for some time. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Doctor Strange 2 has garnered rave reviews and over time has also managed to surpass The Batman at the box office, grossing $879 million globally. The announcement of its arrival at Disney+ coincides when the film is still present in the billboards around the world, having been unseated from number 1 recently, by Top Gun: Maverick.
But the case, when does Doctor Strange premiere in the multiverse of madness? Well, Disney+ has just announced that in a matter of weeks, this June 22. This same month the acclaimed film will arrive in the catalog, once the news is already marked by another MCU project: Ms. Marvel, which launches its first episode this June 8. After Doctor Strange 2 is now available in streaming, the next stop will be Thor: Love and Thunder, which hits theaters on July 8.
