Gabriel Coronel: the privilege of starting over
During the most recent streaming Vivir es Increíble, broadcast from the @gnpseguros account on Instagram, the Spanish actress, businesswoman and presenter Mar Saura chatted with the actor in a pleasant interview.
Originally from Venezuela, Gabriel Coronel has forged a successful career exploiting two of his passions, music and acting, which have come to place him in the preference of thousands and before professional dilemmas from which he has succeeded, with many lessons learned.
This was revealed to us by the interview conducted by the Spanish actress, businesswoman and presenter Mar Saura, all during the streaming of Incredible Talks, transmitted through the @gnpseguros account on Instagram. Here is a summary of the most striking brushstrokes of this talk.
Thanks to the fact that his native state, Lara, in Venezuela, was trained at the music conservatory, Gabriel Coronel was fortunate to be able to give way to his artistic concerns from a very young age. Thus, in 2012 he got his first opportunity to jump to the big screen acting in the telenovelas Somos tú y yo and Somos tú y yo, a new day, work that allowed him to jump to international projection through the series Dangerous Relationships of Telemundo.
Just one year later, in 2013, life allowed him to unleash his musical side through the premiere of his debut single, Desnudo, after which he would receive numerous offers to participate in numerous projects, reality shows and television series, among which El Señor de los Cielos stands out.
However, after such rapid growth, Gabriel Coronel decided to pause his life and momentarily move away from the spotlight. In this regard, Mar Saura questioned him:
“About those two and a half years of break, how did you get to that? Why did you decide to do it?
“I will be very sincere,” replied Coronel, “it happened in my moment of greatest fame, when I was surrounded by more people. However, despite that, I stopped being who I was: I moved away from my family, I moved away from my friends, and that’s when I decided to retire to start a personal path,” he said frankly.
Fortunately for all his followers, Gabriel Coronel has resumed his work for a year and reconnected with who he claims to be. Thus, the next question of the Spanish celebrity revolved around the learning obtained: “At the end of that period, what could you feel that you have won?”, to which the Venezuelan replied convincedly:
“I have won something very beautiful, and it is the joy, the joy of living. I have also learned that we must be human, and always lead by example. We must be the first to say, ‘You know what? I was wrong, excuse me.”
After addressing the facet of introspection that Gabriel Coronel experienced, Mar Saura led the talk towards his professional motivations today, inviting him to reveal which of his passions was the one that most excited him:

“How could we define you? ”
Choosing one is very complicated,” coronel said, “but I’m going to tell you a secret: my great passion is music.” To prove it, during a moment of the live, Gabriel Coronel performed some fragments of songs, moving both Mar Saura and his audience.
Thus, near the end of this broadcast, which for the last two years has had the participation of the most renowned personalities of music, television, arts and sport in Latin America, Mar Saura closed with a question that encompasses his entire message: “Living is incredible, right?”
“Life is pure magic. Life is smiles, opportunities, falling and knowing how to get up,” replied Coronel, thanking everyone for the space and the possibility of always being able to start over.

Born in Barcelona, Mar Saura began her career as a model on the catwalk and as the protagonist of important advertising campaigns nationally and internationally, such as Bulgari’s global campaign for “Save the Children”, in which she was portrayed by the prestigious Italian photographer Fabrizio Ferr.
After finishing a solid and important career as a model, Mar Saura continued to collaborate with great designers, while moving to television, as a presenter and actress. After two years as presenter of “Mírame” on Antena 3, Saura was the image of the network for six years, presenting various programs and campaigns of the years 2000, 2001 and 2002, as well as host of the special program of end of the year for Spanish Television, the years 2004, 2005 and 2006. In 2015 and 2017 he presented the gala of the Special Kings of Spanish TV.
His foray into Spanish cinema came from the hand of Asegarce with the film “El Rey de la Granja”. In 2009, the actress, requested by HBO, travels to Mexico to record “Cappadocia”, a leading series in audience throughout Latin America. That same year, HBO chose her to represent the network at the “Emmy Awards” in New York, delivering one of the awards and thus being the first Spanish in history to deliver an award of such category. It is then, when the director Antonio Serrano, chooses her to be part of the cast of the film “Hidalgo Moliére”.
His latest works in Spanish cinema have been The Beginning by Benito Zambrano (2016), La Puerta Abierta by Marina Seresesky (2016), El mundo es suyo by Alfonso Sánchez (2018) and ¿Qué te juegas? by Inés de León (2018).
