Lissette Kadlecek For Luxury Trending
Lissette Kadlecek is the Chief Operating Officer of Greater Houston Roofing, LLC. She has received accolades for streamlining operations, increasing profits, and maximizing market penetration. With over 17 years of corporate experience in the oil and gas, and commercial and industrial construction industries, she is a decisive leader who promotes operational improvements.
Finding success in male dominated industries is a testament to Lissette’s father. After he moved his family and Lissette’s aunt Dalia from Chicago to Texas, Lissette keenly remembers “the sacrifices and many hours of hard work he did for our family to give us a good life, and those memories will be imbedded in my mind forever.” It goes without saying that Lissette credits her father for her own work ethic.
She is a University of Houston graduate, and also attended Turner School of Construction, and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business program.
Lissette has structured a positive corporate culture which she believes is the key to her success. With a seat on the board of the National Women In Roofing (NWIR) Houston Chapter, Lissette’s influence extends beyond Greater Houston Roofing.
Known for her unshakable faith and strong family values derived from her Christian upbringing, Lissette believes in showing respect and kindness to everyone, even when they don’t deserve it; “because the way we treat others is a reflection of our hearts.” That faith was influenced by Lissette’s mother. She always said “anything is possible if you put God first. He will show you a path and give you all your heart desires.”
The third influential person in Lissette’s life was none other than her aunt, Dalia. Her Aunt Dalia was a successful businesswoman, and worked as the Director of Donor Relations at the United Way of Greater Houston in its corporate office. She also served as president of Hispanic Women in Leadership, in Houston, TX. “I always looked up to her for all of her accomplishments, and her giving heart.”
Lissette supports several charitable organizations, including Elijah Rising, Houston 20, and Best Buddies. She has served as a committee member for KnowAutism, and since 2013 has volunteered with Thru the Roof, the Special Needs Ministry of Houston’s First Baptist Church where she’s a member. Lissette also volunteers at Texas Children’s Hospital Play Center in the Heart Unit, and The Jordan Project Ministries, which helps young girls who are in CPS find their purpose in life.
The advice she gives, and lives by: No matter how inadequate or defeated you feel, keep going, keep learning, and do your absolute best.
In her free time, Lissette enjoys fitness training with her husband, Chris. She likes competing in NPC bodybuilding competitions – she’s won seven trophies, and has twice qualified for national events. Hanging out with family and friends along with their two French Bulldogs, Cha-cha and Paco, is always relaxing.
What many people don’t know about Lissette: At 16, she was a member of Latin Ladies, the girls singing group that traveled and performed at fairs, and was the opening group for Jay Perez at a Texas State Fair. Lissette also competed in Beauty Pageants, and placed third in the Miss Hispanic Houston Pageant in 1994. Talented and full of confidence, at 17, Lissette auditioned for the biographical musical, Selena, and made it to the second cut.
And if someone wanted to make a movie of Lissette’s life, she’d want Selena Gomez to play the role.
