A Building from the XVIII century
Dos Casas first opened in 2004. The boutique hotel was built by joining two adjacent colonial houses from the XVIII century, founding the first design hotel in San Miguel de Allende. It was then remodeled in 2014 by Alberto Laposse and the Mexican interior designer Germán Velasco; this resulted in elegance and attention to detail with traditional and eclectic decorations.

The interior design of the Hotel Dos Casas is the contemporary interpretation of the aesthetic values of the Mexican colonial style. Mixing the traditional venue with iconic furniture from the 40’s and 50’s as well as the latest design details created a unique Mexican character. The warmth, textures, colors that recall the classic Mexican colonial style, and glorious light are manifested in the two houses through stone, marble, wood, fabric, embroidery, skin, steel and brass–all to generate an environment of great warmth in a modern design language.

The 12 spacious rooms and suites at Dos Casas all feature a king-size bed. While the Classic Suite, the Signature Suite, and the Rooftop Suite all boast a spa bath with a rain shower and a soaking tub, the Suite plays host to a bath with a double rain shower and the Rooftop suite either features a spa bath with a rain shower and soaking tub or a steam shower. The Signature Suite includes a sitting area and a balcony or terrace—while the Suite offers one or the other—and the Rooftop suites are each home to a private terrace with an option of Jacuzzi and excellent views of the city.

Every dish tells a story
The Chef’s Table at Áperi led the restaurant to be recognized by Travel & Leisure as the best gourmet experience in Mexico. The chef personally cooks for a limited group of diners in an intimate space. The tasting menu highlights the chef’s and his team’s new creations including some of the famous classic dishes. The menu is based on fresh, natural, local, and seasonal products from farmers of San Miguel region. Áperi believes that gastronomy itself begins where product reigns. Guests dining at the restaurant contribute to developing modern Mexican cuisine and farming of the region.

Located in the historic center of San Miguel de Allende, The Garage is a space inspired by a manufacturing workshop, destined to events like dinners and exhibitions of art and design presented by and for our guests.
