We met with Dr. Yu for a lavish Sunday cruise on a 130 Foot Yacht called Magic www.motoryachtmagic.com that was anchored in NYC at The Chelsea Piers Marina on The Hudson River which is NYC’s premier marina. The weather was gorgeous and our day started with Champagne and horderves which led to a five course catered lunch as we cruised by the Statue of Liberty. Dressing your best is one of the most important parts of planning a photoshoot on a 130 foot yacht and Dr. Suzanne’s Yu’s suitcase was filled with designer dresses. We spoke to her about the pressures of keeping up her image because the fact is that in our society, how we dress matters. We spoke to Dr. Yu about her personal dress code to success. Lavishly Style There’s a certain pressure in society to dress for success and look your best. Do you feel pressured to keep up an image of being lavish as a Hollywood Producer?

It is the opposite of vulgarity.” Coco Chanel As a professional woman, a doctor I can not emphasize enough beside being intelligent at what we do at work but how we conduct ourselves daily to inspire and empower our life in society is also undeniably important. LS: Do you like to turn heads when you walk into a room?
Suzanne: Yes! I love the words of Coco Chanel as you can tell! “Dress shabbily and they remember the woman.” you live but once; you might as well be amusing.” Coco Chanel I personally believe in the power of being dressed well, you will get noticed wherever you go. As a child I had a personal taste for color and fashion, at age 6 years old, I adamantly refused to put on the dress which my mother bought me because I did not like the color. I have never followed the trend, I always liked to be unique with fashion, choosing the style or color which I felt looks best on me. Dressing has let me express myself. Dressing well gives me a feeling of identity, power, and confidence.
LS Do you feel unshakably confident in your body when you’re dressed your best? Tell us what being a well dressed woman means to you?
Suzanne: Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself. Yes, I do feel unshakably confident! When I dress my best I feel uplifted and more accomplished . Especially when I receive compliments from the people I do business with. It’s human nature for people to be drawn by a well dressed person. In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.”Coco Chanel”
LS Some women may say that is total BS. That it is shallow. Do you feel that being a well dressed woman improves your life?
Suzanne: Dressing well is a topic near and dear to my heart. It is something that I truly enjoy in my everyday life. Dressing well is something I do daily. I don’t follow trends or fads that expres lack-of-concern in appearance. It seems to me that so many people live in sweatpants and Adidas sandals with socks! To make matters worse, the colors always seem to be grey, black or just plain blah. How depressing! I love seeing people who pull together nice outfits because in 2021 it is RARE. DRESSING WELL GIVES YOU A FEELING OF ACCOMPLISHMENT
LS How do you know how to put together lavish outfits for a photoshoot on a lavish MotorYacht?
Suzanne: Over time I have developed a good eye for style by taking risks with new combinations of outfits.
LS Fashion style has a lot to do with diet and skincare. How do you keep such a fantastic figure? Tell us what make-up you use and skin care to compliment your fashion.
Suzanne: Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only, Fashion has to do with the way we live. How to achieve work – life balance is a very important part of my life. You can’t be present for others if you aren’t taking care of yourself. I am into dancing such as ballet and Chinese classical dance as a form of exercise so the activity really blends into my lifestyle to keep me slim and strong . As a dancer, I eat a balanced diet with moderation of everything. I especially enjoy eating fish , fruit and green vegetables. My skin care routine involves anti-aging products such as Vitamin C , Niacinamide , and retinol . The most important thing to avoid too much sun exposure, I do wear sunscreen daily. I use Chanel Makeup products which are my all time favorite .
LS How does one Cultivate a fabulous wardrobe?
Suzanne: Shopping!
LS What would you wear on the red carpet if your film “The Comeback Trail” wins an Oscar it does have 3 Oscar Winning Actors!
Suzanne: I would love to wear a Chanel or Oscar de la Renta dress with Tiffany Jewels.
