The young performer of Dominican origin Yammy, dazzles with her new single “La Gran Señora” bachata version inspired by the great Jenni Rivera.
The artist feels identified with the always remembered Jenni Rivera, that is why she decided to make the song in tribute to what she represented so much to thousands of women in the world.
The Dominican re-covered this song that talks about two women in discord for a man who already has an owner. In the form of bachata the single is very catchy and Yammy’s voice gives it a great special touch.
Yammy returns refreshed, collaborating with artists such as: Lenny Santos, Bulin47, Cherry Scom and Dímelo Brasa.
Currently the singer is working on her versatile album that contains different musical genres and collaborations in bachata but also including the urban movement.
About Yammy:
Carmen Jamilka Peña Vargas (Yammy) was born in the Dominican Republic, is the oldest of 4 siblings, since childhood showed interest in art especially music, at 13 years of age she took her first steps as a chorist singer in a group formed by her uncles. He then became part of different popular groups in the Dominican Republic during his adolescence.
At the age of 18 he began as Yami Bonetti in a bachata project where he was the main figure. After becoming popular within the bachata genre and taking bachata out of the Dominican Republic, he pauses for personal reasons and formally returns to music in 2019 with “Mala” an international single introducing and adapting to the new times.
Between 2020 and 2021 he has released great songs such as “El Gallo” with Bulin 47, as well as “Fuiste un Error”, “Te Superé”, among others.
