Madrid, Spain – April 28, 2022 – On a night under the stars, Spanish actor Marc Clotet has been summoned to the gala of the IX edition of the PLATINO Awards of Ibero-American Cinema to be held in Madrid, Spain.
The event will be held at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid on Sunday, May 1, 2022 and will be broadcast through RTVE and TNT. Marc will not be surprised by his fans during this special night of award, preceded by the arrival of the stars on the red carpet.
“Happy for the invitation you make me to recognize, celebrate and pay tribute to all the people who make it possible, that our cinema is one of the most representative expressions of our enormous cultural wealth. The Platinum Awards of Ibero-American Cinema have emerged as the great event for international promotion, promotion and support of Ibero-American cinema,” said Clotet.
In just VIII editions, the PLATINO Awards have been consolidated as the great event of Ibero-American Cinema, becoming a privileged meeting between directors, actors, producers, musicians, technicians, specialized press and all those people who make possible the magic of the seventh art in the countries of Ibero-America, to project it to the whole world.
The PLATINO Ibero-American Film Awards are promoted by EGEDA (Entity for the Management of Rights of Audiovisual Producers), with FIPCA (Ibero-American Federation of Film and Audiovisual Producers). These awards have the support of the Ibero-American Film Academies and Institutes and various sponsors.
About Marc Clotet
Marc Clotet trained as an actor with Javier Daulte in Barcelona. He also studied at HB Studio in New York. She has starred in successful series in Spain such as, ‘El Comisario’, ‘Física o Química’, ‘Amar es para Siempre’, ‘El Caso’ or ‘Tiempos de Guerra’, ‘Las del Hockey’ (The Hockey Girl) among others. He got his first film role from Benito Zambrano with ‘La Voz Dormida’, for which he obtained a nomination for the Goya Awards as Best New Actor and received the Turia Award for Best New Actor 2012.
In 2017 with his performance in the film ‘The Chess Player’, directed by Luis Oliveros, he won the award for ‘Best Actor’ at the Houston International Festival, USA. In Mexico he joined the second season of ‘Por Amar Sin Ley’, a televisa and Univision project in the U.S.
He recently premiered the series “Último primer día” which was filmed in Argentina.
The heartthrob has been selected by the Spanish magazines GQ, Esquire and Vanity Fair among the best dressed men of the Goya Awards 2022, held in Valencia, Spain.
