Mane de la Parra in Madrid for PLATINO Awards
The Mexican singer-songwriter and actor is summoned to the ninth edition to award the best of Ibero-American Cinema.
Madrid, Spain – April 30, 2022 – The IX Edition of the Platinum Awards is preparing to celebrate the best audiovisual works of Ibero-America, where the outstanding presence of the Mexican singer-songwriter and actor Mane de la Parra will be present.
The event will take place at the IFEMA Palacio Municipal in Madrid this Sunday, May 1, 2022 and will be broadcast through RTVE and TNT. Mane will not be surprised by his fans during this special night of award, preceded by the arrival of the stars on the red carpet.
In just VIII editions, the PLATINO Awards have been consolidated as the great event of Ibero-American Cinema, becoming a privileged meeting between directors, actors, producers, musicians, technicians, specialized press and all those people who make possible the magic of the seventh art in the countries of Ibero-America, to project it to the whole world.
The PLATINO Ibero-American Film Awards are promoted by EGEDA (Entity for the Management of Rights of Audiovisual Producers), with FIPCA (Ibero-American Federation of Film and Audiovisual Producers). These awards have the support of the Ibero-American Film Academies and Institutes and various sponsors.
About Mane de la Parra

Mane began his musical studies at the age of 15 with singing and guitar lessons. He studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music in 2005. He was recognized by this institution in 2009 as a distinguished alumnus.
He has more than 5 record productions to his credit. In addition to 150 live performances in different stages and events around Mexico and the United States. Her voice has been in the Vatican where she sang and hosted the Televisa special “Mexican Christmas at the Vatican 2015.” In addition, his music has reached the main carnivals and regional festivals of the Mexican Republic, among which Veracruz, Mérida, Cancun, Villa Hermosa stand out. He has held concerts in the most prestigious theaters in the country such as the Teatro Metropólitan on two occasions, the National Auditorium and the Diana Theater. He also delighted with his music in the Zócalo with the celebration of the Fiestas Patrias.
In recent years, de la Parra has collaborated with regional Mexican music artists, including Duelo and Grupo Cañaveral.
He has received recognition for his musical contribution, in 2005 he obtained from Carlos Santana the BMI Award (Broadcast Music, Inc.) for the theme “Today I will love you”. Also in 2013 he received another BMI Award for the song “El Mentiroso” performed by Banda Carnaval, which remained for 14 consecutive weeks in the top 5 of the regional Chart of Billboard Magazine.
He has composed with the authors Jorge Villamizar, Miguel Luna and Marco Godoy among others. And recorded duet with edges such as Carlos Vives, Margarita la Diosa de la Cumbia, Alex Cuba, Jorge Villamizar, Napoleón, Pancho Céspedes, Rayito Colombiano, Aarón and his group ilusión, Juan Magán, among others.
With 4 films, more than 12 telenovelas, series and musical theater, it has managed to be in the taste of the public and the specialized press.
His most recent acting projects: protagonist of the series “La Reina Soy Yo” of Televisa and Univision. He also starred in the bioseries of “Silvia Pinal”. In cinema we saw him starring in the films “Juan Apóstol, el más amado” and “El Cielo en tu Mirada”.
Currently, Mane stars in the successful Televisa telenovela ¿Qué le pasa a mi Familia? , where he also sings “Es una locura”, the main theme of the melodrama, with Emilio Osorio.
The heartthrob has been selected by People en Español magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful.
