Mane de la Parra: Living life without labels
During the most recent streaming “Vivir es Increíble“, broadcast from the @gnpseguros account on Instagram, actress and presenter Mar Saura chatted with the singer-songwriter and actor co-star of the telenovela “Corona de Lágrimas 2”.
Mexico City – August 11, 2022 – Despite the modern requirement to dedicate themselves to a specialized vocation, there are personalities whose versatility and talent allows them to perform comfortably in different arts, chores and disciplines, and a good example of this is the Mexican singer-songwriter and actor Mane de la Parra, co-star of “Corona de Lágrimas 2”, produced by José Alberto (El Guero) Castro for TelevisaUnivision.
On how he gives way to his artistic concerns, as well as about his most recent work project, he chatted with the Spanish actress, businesswoman and presenter Mar Saura, all through the Instagram account of @gnpseguros Find out everything!
To be Nachito again a decade later
At the beginning of this conversation, Mar Saura wanted to address the release of the second part of Corona de lágrimas, a telenovela in which she will return to play Ignacio “Nacho” Chavero after his first appearance in 2012:
“Corona de Lágrimas came into your life ten years ago, and it was a total success,” she said, to which Mane de la Parra replied:
“Corona de Lágrimas was an important project. I think it was the project where the character came up that I treasured the most and enjoyed. Nachito is a character with very fatherly values and a super important human message.”
Faced with this response, Mar Saura noticed that there are certain parallels between the person and the character: “So, Nachito has a lot to do with you, they are very similar,” he said.
“Yes, of course it does, what happens is that the situations are very different. I am very friendly and he is also a friend. I want to believe that I am also a good son, but my character, above all, has things that I would have liked to be, as a neighborhood boxer,” confessed Mane de la Parra, who, although he is not a boxer, has also stood out as a singer and composer, musical concerns that he shares with his sister, the director Alondra de la Parra.
Thus, in the next part of the interview, Mar Saura wanted to delve into this versatility: “For many years of your career you may have been asked if you are an actor, are you a singer?, although I think you do not have to be born with a single label”.
“I believe that in life you don’t have to stay wanting anything. Get over it, lose your fear, because life is one and we do not know how long we are going to live it, “emphasized Mane de la Parra,
Taking advantage of the fact that they talked about the musical passion of his interviewee, Mar Saura inquired: “Are you going to sing something in Corona de Lágrimas in this second part?”
“There’s going to be some music of mine, but in this case, Nachito doesn’t sing,” De la Parra said, leaving some suspense about what that participation will be like.
At the end of the broadcast, which for more than two years has had as guests the most relevant artists and figures in Latin America, Mar Saura asked Mane de la Parra: “Is living incredible?”
“Living is incredible and you have to enjoy this life,” said the Mexican singer-songwriter and actor excitedly.
