Leonardo Rodrigues de Lima (born 1990) is a Brazilian musician, composer and music producer, a prominent name in contemporary country music. Among his successes are: Vuelve a mí – Israel y Rodolfo (composition), Un error menos – Guilherme y Benutto (composition) and Nuestro camino – Rick y Rangel (production).
Leonardo Lima, Stage name of Leonardo Rodrigues de Lima, was born in the satellite city of Planaltina, Federal District, on August 12, 1990. The son of João Rodrigues de Lima and Maria da Conceição de Lima, he is the younger of two siblings.
Childhood and early career
Leonardo Lima discovered his passion for music at the age of six. When he played his first song by ear on a toy keyboard. From then on, encouraged by his parents, he decided to perfect his musical knowledge.
At age 10, already with a real keyboard, Léo Lima performed professionally with his father in restaurants and serenades in his hometown. At the age of 14 he was invited to play with two great regional singers Jhonny and Rahony, in which Gustavo Lima “O Embaixador”, one of the greatest names of national peasant music, performed as guitarist.
At the age of 16 he decided to embark on new paths in his career learning to play the accordion/accordion, where he was the accordionist for Rick and Rangel. And at the age of 18 as a music producer for artists in the region and surroundings.
Successful career
At the age of 25 he settled in Goiânia, where he was an accordionist on DVD for duos and singers such as: Diogo y Delluca, Hugo and Thiago, Ciro Netto and Manuel, Gabriel Gava, Israel & Rodolfo, among others. Leo Lima is accordionist of the duo Israel & Rodolfo, and at the same time he is a composer, phonographic producer and music producer.
In 2020, Léo Lima had his song “Vai volta para mim” recorded in the voice of Israel & Rodolffo in partnership with the duo Hugo & Vitor, released on all digital platforms. And he is also the author of other hits such as “Pagar para Sofrer”, sung by the duo Alex and Vinicius, recorded with the publishing house Work Show Editora e Produções.
In 2021 he participated in his first international tour with the Israel & Rodolfo Duo, in the United States, that same year, still with the duo, Léo Lima recorded a show on a national television program, called Altas Horas. Still in 2021, he participated in the DVD of the national singer Alexia Reis, which had Henrique Azevedo as music producer.
As a music producer, in 2022, one of the highlights of his career was having his face stamped on Times Square. That same year, he acted as producer and musician on the DVD “Do Nosso Caminho” by the duo Rick and Rangel where he reached the mark of more than 1 million plays on Spotify.
Personal life
In 2022, Leonardo Lima married businesswoman Ane Lima in the city of Goiânia, Goiás, whom he met on a tour of the United States.
