Arap Bethke begins filming “Juego de Mentiras,” Telemundo’s new series.
A thriller full of intrigue, mystery, passion and love, is the new project that stars the Kenyan-Mexican actor.
Miami, August 17, 2022 – The set returns. Actor Arap Bethke began filming Juego de Mentiras, Telemundo’s new series, a thriller full of intrigue, mystery, passion and love starring the Kenyan-Mexican histrion.
Along with Bethke (Buscando a Frida, Mujer de Nadie, Club de Cuervos), Altaír Jarabo (Corazón Guerrero, Vencer el Desamor) and María Elisa Camargo (Bajo el Mismo Cielo) share credits. The original series that is recorded in the forums of Telemundo Center in Miami, also includes the stellar participation of Rodrigo Guirao (Corazón Guerrero, Rubí), Cynthia Klitbo (Mujer de Nadie), Eduardo Yáñez (La Reina del Sur 3, Falsa Identidad) and Camila Nuñez. The cast is made up of Patricio Gallardo, Alicia Machado, Alberto Casanova, Pepe Gámez, Gabriela Vergara, Beatriz Valdés, María Laura Quintero and Bárbara Garófalo, with the special participation of Aylín Mújica.

Set in the city of Los Angeles and San Clemente California, Juego de Mentiras, is a story full of intrigue, mystery, passion and love that follows the life of César Ferrer (Bethke), a hardworking man who always dreamed of having his own family, and who gives his life for his daughter Noelia (Nuñez). When his wife disappears, all clues point to him as the prime suspect. Determined to prevent his eight-year-old daughter from being snatched from him, Caesar risks investigating on his own. While searching for clues about the possible reasons for his wife’s disappearance, César discovers that Adriana led a double life and may not be the person everyone knew, for better or worse.
An original story written by Sebastián Arrau with librettos by: Yutzil Martínez, Berenice Cárdenas, Rosario Valenzuela and Adela Boltansky, the script is supervised by Sergio Mendoza. Produced by Telemundo Global Studios, this new thriller is directed by Eduardo Ripari, Ricardo Schwarz and Uandari Gómez. The cinematography is in charge of Iván Rodríguez and José Luis Velarde. The production design is in charge of Pedro de Larrechea and the art direction is in charge of Lisette Graffe. Karen Barroeta, Ximena Cantuarias, Elizabeth Suárez and Rafael Urióstegui are executive producers.
Bethke born in Kenya and raised in Mexico, is known for his work in series and novels such as ‘Mujer de Nadie’ (2022), ‘Buscando a Frida’ (2021) ‘La Usurpadora’ (2019), ‘La Piloto’ (2017, 2018), Netflix’s ‘Club de Cuervos’ (2015) and the films ‘Sin Origen’ (2020), ‘Guadalupe Reyes’ (2019) and ‘No se aceptan Devoluciones’ (2013). He was named Ambassador of the Environment in Mexico by The Climate Project Mexico, al-Gore’s foundation. He is also a spokesperson for “The Climate Reality Project” joining Nobel Laureate and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore in the eighth edition of the event “24 Hours of Reality broadcast, Protect Our Planet, Protect Ourselves“. Arap was recently chosen among “The 100 Most Influential and Committed Latinos to Climate Action 2021.”

Actor Arap Bethke was named Ambassador of the Environment in Mexico by The Climate Project Mexico. He is also a spokesperson for “The Climate Reality Project” joining Nobel Laureate and former Vice President of the United States, Al Gore, in the eighth edition of the event “24 Hours Of Reality broadcast, Project Our Planet, Protect Ourselves”. He is also a spokesperson for The Ocean: The Great Provider campaign, an initiative of the environmental organization Sachamama, which highlights the need to take climate action to ensure the ocean can remain a source of life and sustenance for our planet and our communities.
Committed to environmental causes, the histrion joined the environmental organization Greenpeace México as a spokesman for the campaign #ConsumoResponsable which seeks to empower the inhabitants of large cities and motivate them to a radical change in their consumption models to win the battle against climate change.
