In the feature film by Mexican director Raul Martinez, Arab plays the spiritual guru Manuel Jaliff. He shares credit with actresses Natalia Tellez and Daniel Tovar, and the stellar cast of Clara Lake, Veronica Bravo, Daniel Garcia, Mara Escalante, Miguel Burra, and Erica Buenfil.

“The filming of the movie Amores Permitidos was a lot of fun. I’m so grateful to the producers and director who gave me the opportunity to explore something completely different. Khaliffe is a spiritual guru that we all carry inside. I hope the audience laughs, has fun… and join my retreats,” Bethke said.

Combining romance and comedy, Amores Permits tells the story of Rodrigo (Danielle Tovar) and Gabriela (Natalia Tellez), a couple who have been together for several years. At times their relationship seems more like best friends than a couple, but deep down, Rodrigo and Gabriela love each other dearly. Her daily routine is interrupted when her best friends, Luz and Jorge, ask who they can “allow”. I mean, who could they sleep with without antagonizing each other? Both are very clear; for Rodrigo it will be the famous actress Macarena Barrios, and for Gabriela it will be the personal trainer Manuel Jaliffe (Arap Betke). What seems like an innocent conversation between friends turns into a comedy that changes the course of their lives when Rodrigo accidentally meets Macarena. The film leaves one wondering what the next twist of the story might be.
