Milan, Italy; November 12, 2022 – PUMA and AC Milan take their partnership to the next level with a new streetwear collection inspired by Milan’s paninari subculture.
The prominent paninari subculture set a new code for the Milanese youth of the 1980s, marking a new style characterized by bright colors that distinguished them from their contemporaries. The new PUMA x AC Milan collection embodies Paninari’s great attention to detail, reinventing and reviving Paninari style for a new generation.
With this new streetwear collection, PUMA and AC Milan present a personal, intimate look at the club founded in 1899 and pay homage to the cultural phenomenon Paninari, a popular look that soon spread beyond Milan and Italy and became mainstream. Influenced fashion in the 1980s and created a style that designers and fashionistas still refer to today, further testament to Milan’s status as a fashion city and one of the fashion capitals of the world.
The collection includes casual wear such as T-shirts and hoodies, but also tailored silhouettes and tailored pieces such as long-sleeved trousers and polos, as well as outerwear such as padded down jackets.
In addition to apparel, the PUMA x AC Milan partnership offers two versions of the PUMA RX-737 and the PUMA Weekend sneaker, each featuring the iconic lettering that broke the rafters of Milan’s San Siro Stadium – “Solo Con Te” what translated means “Solo Con Te”. into English as “Only with you”.
This new collaboration is released in support of PUMA’s Players’ Lounge, a collection that delves deep into the PUMA archive to relive the golden age of football in the 60’s and 70’s.
The new collection reflects the strategic alignment of AC Milan and PUMA, with the two brands using Milan’s style, fashion and culture to create functional and innovative fashion products that reflect Milan’s unique style.
The PUMA x AC Milan 2022 streetwear collection will be available from November 12, 2022 on PUMA.com, store.acmilan.com, selected PUMA retailers and all rossoneri stores.
