Bright, radiant, optimistic: Introducing Neo Real, H&M Studio’s fall offering.
Inspired by the stylish space age and modern missions to Mars, the A/W22 collection blurs the lines between reality and fantasy. Featuring bold color palettes and streamlined silhouettes, gravity-resistant fabrics and innovative accessories, the collection offers a futuristic twist on minimalism. The H&M Studio A/W22 collection will be available in select stores and hm.com from October 13th.
Key pieces are full of attitude and ready for adventure. Cozy fuchsia trench coats, off-the-shoulder chocolate brown double-breasted coats and bright turquoise plush fleece boldly reinterpret cold-weather classics. The haute couture of three-piece suits—oversized blazers paired with flared trousers and versatile tailored skirts—is a modern answer to the workwear dilemma. A ruffled silver sequin dress and high-shine metallics paired with a shirt and trousers guarantee cocktail hour star power. Accessories-wise, shiny chocolate brown thigh-high boots, a padded pink clutch, sci-fi sunglasses and a necklace with a rhinestone braided collar are all talk-changing pieces. In line with H&M’s sustainability goals, each piece in the collection is made from more sustainable materials such as Tencel™, recycled polyester, recycled wool and recycled brass.
How will you wear it in the future? That’s the question the H&M studio team asked itself this fall as they discussed humanity’s inspiring space missions. H&M creative consultant Ann-Sofie Johansson imagined sharp, minimal silhouettes that inspire confidence with bold, daring pops of colour – we want our clients to dare to dream.
“With a moodboard filled with images of space, the design team thought about what to take on an intergalactic trip. We decided on a mix of practical pieces mixed with fabulous items. The silver co-ordinating set is my favourite look, but I’d wear the silver trousers with the padded grey T-shirt and the rhinestone necklace – it’s the perfect alternative to a party dress,” Linda Wikell, concept designer for H&M Studio.

H&M Studio’s A/W22 collection campaign is an immersive journey through different worlds, blurring the lines between digital and physical dimensions to optimistic effect. The campaign stars siblings Georgia and Joel Palmer, London-based queer creatives who work across the worlds of fashion, music and the arts.
