⦁ Fully electric high-performance models for FC Bayern players
⦁ Meeting with FC Bayern board members and tour of the Söbenerstraße training ground with Giovane Elber
⦁ The brand with the four rings has been a reliable partner of FC Bayern Munich for twenty years
Near and true: 30 Audi employees will remember this car handover for a long time. They had the opportunity to deliver the company’s new electric cars from the Audi Forum Ingolstadt to the FC Bayern Munich headquarters on Söbenerstrasse and hand them over personally to the club’s professional footballers. A meeting with Bayern board members Oliver Kahn and Andreas Jung took place at Bayern headquarters. Giovane Elber shared some anecdotes while guiding the Audi staff around the training ground.
The official handover of the new fleet did not take place in Ingolstadt as usual this year, but on Söbenerstrasse in Munich. 30 Audi employees took the unique opportunity to bring 15 cars to Munich and deliver them directly to the Bayern pros – a premiere even for the players and officials of the German record champions. The employees met with the FC Bayern board members Oliver Kahn and Andreas Jung. Giovane Elber also guided them through the 80,000 square meter training facility and looked behind the scenes of the reigning German champion. Pia Hackner (Technical Development): “My friends and I often go to the south stand of the Allianz Arena, but seeing the players up close is a unique experience in life. This memory will stay with me for a long time.”
Audi has supported Bayern Munich since 2002
FC Bayern players and officials will now drive the fully electric premium models Audi RS e-tron GT1 or Audi Q4 e-tron and Audi e-tron Sportback as company cars. At the handover, the Audi RS e-tron GT1 FC Bayern Concept was also presented in the unique anniversary design for the 20th anniversary of the partnership. The front and roof are designed in the style of an “anniversary jersey”– featuring the FC Bayern Munich club crest as the finishing touch on the rear.
Each season is rightly marked as a highlight, framed by a diamond-shaped timeline, contrasting red on a black background.
Audi has been supporting Germany’s most successful soccer club since 2002. The four-ring brand has also been a shareholder of FC Bayern München AG since 2011. Audi has also been supporting the women’s team at FC Bayern since 2021. Audi brand boss Henrik Wenders says: “This partnership shows how two strong brands really shape the future. When imagination and passion come together, the result is a great achievement. FC Bayern and Audi have that in common.” Audi representative, Philipp Noack (Head of Sales Germany) and Christian
Schuller (Head of Soccer Sports Marketing) handed over the new cars to the Bayern players.
Oliver Kahn, CEO of FC Bayern Munich: “FC Bayern is lucky to have had Audi at its side as a reliable partner for more than 20 years now. We’re united by the way we constantly strive for perfection and always think forward – for instance, when it comes to mobility. Our mutual goal is to remain on the road to success with Audi in the future.”
Together on the way to an electric future
Around four years ago, Audi ushered in its electric future with the market launch of the Audi e-tron*. Since then, the company has consistently pursued its roadmap and now has a portfolio of eight electric vehicle models. By 2026 there should be more than 20. From now on, Audi will only bring all-electric models onto the world market.
Together with FC Bayern, Audi draws attention to the forward-looking concept of electromobility. In September 2020, FC Bayern and Audi started the path to sustainable mobility together. Since then, the club’s vehicle fleet has been continuously electrified. Many team members and club leaders now drive fully electric cars. The Audi QB e-tron*, which was presented on November 9 of this year, is new. As the top model in the electric SUV and crossover series, it scores with an optimized drive concept, improved aerodynamics, higher charging power and increased battery capacity.
