Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), November 29th, 2022 – Ducati hosted the third Ride to FIM Awards – the Future of Motorcycling, a project created by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) in collaboration with Italy’s (FMI). .

This is a journey of four events leading from the beginning of September to the celebration of the world champions in motorsport, the FIM Awards, scheduled for December 3rd in Rimini, where more than forty drivers from different disciplines will be honored.

The third round of this journey took place at the Ducati Museum, where a round table entitled “The Future: Sustainability and Motorsport” was held to create a moment for discussion and in-depth reflection on the future of motorsport. . These include the energy transition, sustainable development policies that respect the environment and the development of alternative energy sources for increasingly sustainable motorsport.

The event was opened by Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, together with Giovanni Copioli, President of FMI, and Stefano Bonacchini, President of the Emilia-Romagna Region. Jorge Viegas, President of FIM, opened a panel discussion in which leading industry experts from FIM, FMI, academia and research and the motorcycle industry spoke and spoke.

A meeting that clarified the spirit of unity and the common intention to push the development of motorcycling in a direction where respect for the environment and the territory is central. On this occasion, Ducati also presented a prototype of the V21L, the first electric motorcycle manufactured by Borgo Panigale, which will compete in the FIM MotoE™ World Cup from 2023.

Ducati and its riders, including Francesco Bagnaia and Alvaro Bautista, will also be the protagonists of the FIM Awards on Saturday 3 December in Rimini thanks to an outstanding racing season.
