By nature, Profilée retains much of the cleanliness of Pur Sport; designed for lateral support and maximum acceleration. It is powered by the same 1500 hp engine as the Bugatti W16 engine, with a 15% lower gear ratio than the Chiron Sport. The Profilée accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds and to 200 km/h in 5.5 seconds. Its top speed is 380 km/h compared to 350 km/h for the Chiron Pur Sport.
The chassis tuning includes a change in the camber angles on the front and rear axles and stiffer springs with a front-heavy balance. The springs are ten percent stiffer than the Chiron Sport, and the rear axle has 50 percent more negative camber for improved cornering traction without sacrificing ride comfort. It combines the best features of Pur Sport with a beautiful and elegant design.
Profilée is presented in the main color Argent Atlantique, specially developed for this car. No other Chiron model was tuned in this shade. The underside of the car is finished in carbon fiber painted in the existing Bugatti Bleu Royal Carbon colour. The wheels are also unique, designed, built and tested specifically for Profilée and painted in a Le Patron shade created to match the carbon tone of the lower body. Polished aluminum elements follow Bugatti’s famous horseshoe grille.
The interior of the Profilée is familiar to Chiron owners, and handcrafted by Bugatti in Molsheim. Designed from authentic and high-quality materials such as leather, carbon or solid aluminium, each component is handcrafted and perfected within hours. The design itself follows a philosophy of minimalism, reducing each component to its simplest and most beautiful form.
However, the Profilée is the first Chiron to feature braided leather on the interior, dashboard, door panels and center console. In all, more than 2,500 yards of strips of leather are used to create this intricate and beautiful finish. The Profilée features comfort seats in Gris Rafale leather and Deep Blue leather with Air Parade quilting. Profilée branding adorns the black anodized insert on the center console; final unique touch for this special creation.
Bugatti Chiron Profilée will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s on February 1st with part of the proceeds going to charity.
