Rolls-Royce Bespoke celebrated the most successful year in the brand’s 118-year history. Customers from all over the world have been exploring the nearly limitless possibilities of bespoke personalization, resulting in record orders in a year.
Throughout 2022, customers’ dreams have been embodied in rare, precious and emotionally appealing luxury items. Guided by their desires and preferences, the Rolls-Royce Bespoke team have created some of the finest examples of bespoke craftsmanship, exploring the mystery of the Northern Lights, the symbolism of orchids, the dazzling elegance of pearls and the latest fashion trends. little inspiration for these wonderful works of art.
Handcrafted in Goodwood, every Rolls-Royce is a made-to-order car, crafted exactly to the customer’s specifications. Commissioning a Rolls-Royce is a very personal and at times very private process and many customers prefer to keep their masterpiece to themselves rather than show it to the public. Therefore, the ten examples shown below represent just a small selection of the wonderful creations designed and handcrafted at the Maison of Rolls-Royce. However, they represent some of the finest examples of bespoke craftsmanship to be created in 2022 and reflect the brand’s status as a true luxury home.
PHANTOM ‘THE SIX ELEMENTS’
The Six Elements series demonstrates the unique possibilities of the Phantom Gallery. Each of the six unique phantoms contains a one-of-a-kind artwork hand-painted by internationally renowned British artist Sasha Jafri.
Known for his style of “magical realism”, Sasha Jafri created emotional and colorful works that combine nature’s most powerful components: earth, fire, wind, water and air, as well as the sixth element – humanity.
This unique art project raised $1.2 million for charity; The unique digital collector’s item included with every Phantom makes this series the “Rolls-Royce that always gives”.
AURORA BOREALIS WRAITHS
Inspired by the breathtaking sight of the Northern Lights, these two custom-built Wraiths capture the essence of nature’s famous light show. In an effort to capture the ethereal splendor of this natural wonder, Bespoke Collective has developed two new shades – Aurora Blue and Borealis Green – that reflect the dazzling beauty of polar nocturnal performance.
Inside, each Wraith is adorned with multicolored Starlight headliners that feature a constellation of blue, green, and white fiberglass “stars.” The Bespoke team spent many hours to achieve the ideal arrangement of light sources that reflect the ethereal beauty of the Northern Lights.
PHANTOM PAISLEY GALLERY
This unique gallery showcases beautiful embroidered art that reinterprets the intricate paisley pattern that has graced luxury items for centuries. Entirely hand embroidered with Navy Blue, Arctic White and Forge Yellow threads, it consists of 90,000 individual stitches that mix stitching and satin piping to create texture and took over 40 hours to complete. Each piece consists of three seamlessly connected elements that are arranged with millimeter precision.
CULLINAN FROZEN LAKES
These bespoke Cullinans immerse their passengers in the magical atmosphere of a winter wonderland. The dashboard and picnic tables are meticulously hand-painted with a motif inspired by patterns made from broken ice, painted with multiple layers of different colors and then plated and polished to achieve a three-dimensional effect, a process that takes over two weeks took. full. It took another 18 hours to achieve a similar effect on the Bespoke Starlight Headliner.
The exterior is finished in sparkling crystal over midnight sapphire and blue crystal over arctic to convey the freshness, shimmer and depth of icy surfaces.
PHANTOM SAPPHIRE ASTRUM GALLERY
Astrum’s exquisite, one-of-a-kind Gallery Collection features a starburst motif, with spears of solid silver radiating from a platinum-set diamond to pear-cut sapphires.
The back is adorned with a guilloché engraving of Bleu de Nuit, a rich sapphire lacquer that enhances the gorgeous colors of the gems. The silver rim of the Gallery watch also features a guilloché pattern with matching blue sapphire lacquer, adding depth and iridescence clockface.
PEBBLE BEACH COLLECTION GHOSTS
These two Ghosts were designed to highlight the power of Bespoke at the world famous Pebble Beach gathering in California. They showcase the iridescent nature of two sparkling finishes – crystal over Sagano Green and a shimmering gold flake finish over Sequoia Green.
Incredible depth of color achieved with six layers, each carefully hand polished. The last two clear layers are preceded by a Crystal Finish with tiny particles of colored speckles that create a glossy, multi-dimensional shimmer.
PHANTOM ORCHID – TIMELESS ELEGANCE
This unique Phantom is inspired by the Singapore Orchid, a symbol of beauty, resilience and strength. The centerpiece of this commission is a handcrafted sculpture gallery created by award-winning artist Helen Amy Murray, featuring three-dimensional flowers made entirely of silk.
The orchid motif continues on the inserts and door sills of the rear picnic table. The Singapore Orchid Pearl White exterior color has been combined with hints of purple and fine glass particles to create a beautiful pearlescent effect, further enhanced by the Orchid body line.
FUX BRIGHT YELLOW DAWN
This radiant Bespoke Dawn joins a long list of special commissions for dedicated car collector and long-standing patron of the brand, Michael Fux. The glorious Fux Bright Yellow, which has been exclusively created for his use, is celebrated throughout every element of the motor car, including the vibrant exterior finish, leather upholstery, top stitch, two-tone steering wheel and coloured wheel centres.
PHANTOM PLATINO
Named after the silvery white platinum, this bespoke masterpiece features two different fabrics on the inside, one crafted in an Italian factory to combine durability with a beautifully luxurious look, and the other made from bamboo fiber chosen for its lustrous finish .
Both materials have an original repeating pattern based on an abstract interpretation of the Spirit of Ecstasy; this motif is reflected in the gallery. The Starlight headliner is a unique design where the “stars” draw attention and the shooting stars follow a wide arc of the pattern.
CULLINAN INSPIRED BY FASHION
The Cullinan – Inspired by Fashion Custom Collection consists of two sets of four cars reflecting different aspects of fashion. The vibrant Re-Belle cars feature block-colored exterior trims in Lime Green, Gunmetal, Wildberry and Arctic White, while the interior is accented with Lime Green or Peony Pink accents. Fu-Shion vehicles are painted in Military Green, Burnout Grey, Forge Yellow and Tempest Gray with Mandarin or Forge Yellow contrasts on the interior.
For this order, the designers at Bespoke created a completely new Starlight tailgate. This unique feature is that 192 softly lit stars are embedded in the perforated leather upholstery, extending the iconic Starlight headliner from the cabin when the tailgate is opened.
