Thank you so much for doing this with us dear MARCIA Our readers would love to get to know you a bit better. Can you share with us the backstory of how you came upon this career path and to where you are today?What were you interested in during school before your modeling dreams took hold?
It’s my pleasure! I always dreamed of being a model, I started participating in beauty contests and I started my modeling career late, unlike other models. I worked to help pay the bills and I had no way of fulfilling that dream, because the city I lived in was small and had no model agency.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story about that?
I had several people who helped me, but the first person who helped me was my neighbor José, when I lived in Florianópolis. He sent some pictures of me to the Bella da Semana website, and after that Alexandre Peccin CEO of Bella da Semana sent my pictures to the Ford Models agency! Another person who helps me today is Léo Coelho from Florianópolis.
Did you ever have anyone try to dissuade you from entering modeling? Did those close to you want to support you but not sure how?
I had a boyfriend who said that I would not be able to be a model, that it was crazy. I was sad, I broke up with him and moved on
Was there a particular model you admired more so than another? Why?
Gisele Bundchen! For the strength she has, she also went through situations that people said no to her and even then she remained strong.
How important is self-promotion in your profession?
Marketing is the most important thing! if people don’t see you, they don’t remember you. if you don’t promote yourself, you will be forgotten.
As an influencer, you have been blessed with great success in a career path that many have attempted, but eventually gave up on. In fact perhaps most people who tried to follow a career path like yours did not succeed. Do you have any words of advice for others who may want to embark on this career path but know that their dreams might be dashed?
I learned that we never should give up, but you can’t stop your world and stay in the world of dreams. I’m trying to say that even you haven a successful career, you must have a second, third carrer. Study, try to be awesome in everything you do. you will discovery another dreams, another chances.
Would you like to see more women working behind-the-scenes in the modeling industry?
Certainly! but i think thats happening already, and its awesome!
Can you share with our readers some of your strategies you’ve used to build an engaged, loyal, and large online community?
Be real, be honest! Show your work and your weakness, show how your day is going, shared happiness moments and of course, things that will engagement your followers. that’s my social medias, i show a women that can be a model, a digital influencer and chrstimas decor designer. I try to answer all my followers, always with respect and simplicity.
You are a busy person with a demanding schedule, can you share with our readers two self care routines, practices or treatments that help your body thrive? (Kindly share a story or an example for each.)
Gym! in first place, and then healthy food habits, but sometimes i drink a wine, eat chocolate… life is short and i want to be happy. Hair and face: sunscreen and vitamin C and my hair I take care washing with cold water and I let it dry naturally.
Can you share with us two routines that you use to help your mind or heart to thrive?
I love incenses, they calm me down and help me find my peace.
What was your most humorous moment during a photoshoot?
I tripped over a power cord in the studio and had a blackout.
With magazine sales falling, magazines can’t gain as much profit. This has a sort of ‘domino effect’; meaning industry professionals including models that work for magazines, will get paid very little in comparison to how it used to be.” As a journalist, I have this fear as well. Do you have any solutions to address this situation?
We have to shape ourselves as the market has shown itself. Before, the model only photographed, today she needs to talk about the product!
Do people want to be your friend because you’re a cover model and how do you feel someone is genuine with you?
Real people are rare in the world, and I keep them on my heart!
What are your thoughts on there being more diversity and inclusiveness in the modeling industry today?
I think that it’s wonderful, we need to break that’s tabus that society made
What does your future look like?
In my future, i want to live in another country for a while and live a life more calm Anything.
