Omar Alejandro Henriquez Martinez, at 27 has extensive experience in the kitchen which brings him a knowledge and mastery of the entire workings and intricacies of a restaurant. Omar is from Nayarit–think ancient Aztec warriors, Aztec ruins, sun worshipers and beaches.
His commitment to social responsibility and sustainability of product, plants, and health are fundamental values within his work.
After his professional training at the Technological University of Bahía de Banderas, Nuevo Vallarta, Omar Henriquez began his work at Vista Grill Puerto Vallarta; he then worked at the restaurant of Chef Edgar Núñez and Sud 777 which has been ranked the Best Restaurants in Latin America.
Omar worked with the first team of Nativo Gastronómic Workshop, advised by Chef Paul Bentley, at Hotel Carlota. Then, he worked as a sous chef for Joaquín Cardoso and later, alongside the same chef and Sofía Cortina in WW Residence. All the while, Omar was participating in luxury brand dinners for Carolina Herrera and Salvatore Ferragamo.
Omar’s passion for cooking and his professional training has made him Chef Extraordinaire for Áperi at Dos Casa.
