First two-door off-road sports car

The new Porsche 911 Dakar is just as comfortable off-road as it is on the highway. The exclusive model, produced in just 2,500 units, not only demonstrates the limitless possibilities of the Porsche 911 concept, it also commemorates Porsche’s first overall victory at the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1984, which was also the birth of all-wheel drive in the Porsche 911. That’s why the new 911 Dakar also offered with the optional Rallye Design package reminiscent of the legendary winning car.

The first striking detail of the Porsche 911 Dakar is its ground clearance, which is 80 millimeters higher than that of the 911 Carrera with sports suspension. Its ground clearance and ramp angle are in no way inferior to conventional SUVs. The vehicle’s sporty off-road qualities are complemented by specially developed Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires (size 245/45 ZR 19 at the front and 295/40 ZR 20 at the rear). The dense tread pattern has a depth of nine millimeters, and the reinforced sidewalls and threads consist of two layers of carcass.
